JM Fiber Optics is named winner of the 13th Annual Minority Enterprise Development Awards Week in Technology and Science

(December 13, 2007) The Los Angeles Minority Business Opportunity Center has named JM Fiber Optics, Inc. the winner of the 13th Annual Minority Enterprise Development Awards Week in the category of Technology and Science. JM Fiber Optics was awarded this distinction because of the development of a technological advanced mass transit digital signage system called TransitVUE� Transportation Passenger Information System (TPIS), which the Los Angeles County Metro is currently using on its Red Line.

The purpose of this award is to recognize the outstanding minority entrepreneurs that play an important role in building the American economy through the creation of jobs, product and services, as well as supporting their communities. The Los Angeles MBOC and Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa will be hosting the 13th Annual MED Awards Week on February 18-22, 2008. The theme of this year�s MED Week is �Mission Possible: Becoming a Deallionaire�, which shows the importance of contracts and financial deals for Minority Business Enterprises.

During this week long event JM Fiber Optics will be able to offer a tour of the company, participate in workshops, business expos and network with other winners, nominees and participants. The culmination of the week will be the Gala and Award Celebration Dinner at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel where Mr. Kenneth Rivera, President will be accepting the award on behalf of JM Fiber Optics.
